Q: Will your DJ service act as an Emcee during our event?
A: Yes, C & C Productions will act as an Emcee during your event. We will make any/all announcements and help keep the night on track.
Q: What types of equipment do you use?
A: C & C Productions uses only the best sound system available along with top quality lighting. We provide one Wireless mic for speeches. We also have the capability to plug instruments into our sounds system if requested.
Q: Is C & C Productions licensed and insured?
A: In the music business, it is up to the venue to provide and pay for a general license to cover any/all cover music played. A license can be acquired through any of the following companies: ASCAP, BMI, SESAC or PRS. As for insurance, that is covered by the performers, in which case C & C Productions is fully insured!
Q: Are you a DJ service or do you run sound for bands?
A: Short answer, both! C & C Productions has the capability to hook a full band into our sound system, where we can provide FOH, mics, cabling and monitors for the musicians for small to medium venues. We also have an extensive music library that is sure to keep your wedding or dance party entertained for hours on end!
Q: How long will you play music?
A: The amount of time C & C Productions will play music is completely up to you! Typically a wedding dance lasts four hours, however we can play earlier in the night as background music. If everyone is having a good time and you would like us to play longer, you can purchase additional time the day of the event.
Q: How early will the DJ arrive to setup?
A: C & C Production will arrive one to two hours before the event starts unless special arrangements have been made. Our setup is typically forty-five minutes which allows setup to take place before guests arrive.
Q: What is your coverage area?
A: We are based out of Bellevue, Ia. We are willing to travel outside of Bellevue for events. We are willing to work with costumers outside our coverage area as well for special circumstances.
Q: Can we pick what music is played?
A: Yes! Before the event takes place C & C Productions will meet with you to figure out what style of music you are looking for. During this meeting we encourage you to bring a list of your favorite music, whether it be five songs or fifty songs, we will do our best to play your song suggestions.
Q: Will the DJ take requests?
A: This is up to you. During the pre-event meeting, you will be able to specify whether or not requests are accepted, along with what music styles are accepted. C & C Productions will only play music that fits your music style!
Q: How do you price your services?
A: Each C & C Productions event is unique. We personalize each package based on distance traveled and length of time played. If you would like us to put together a personalized package for your event please visit our Contact Us/Quote page and we would be happy to put together a custom package for you!
Q: Do you use a written contract?
A: Yes. We here at C & C Productions believe it is extremely important to have your event booking confirmed in writing. C & C Productions will supply you with a written contract outlining the terms of your service. We will then sign the contract and send you a copy for your records. C & C Productions recommends that you have a written contract from your DJ no matter who you choose to hire.
Q: How will your DJ dress for our event?
A: C & C Production will dress for the event. If your event is a wedding, a shirt and tie will be minimum. If you are having a luau, I would expect a grass skirt and a coconut bra… OK, maybe not that extreme, however if you pick the outfit ahead of time we will try and wear it if not find something that will match the occasion!
Q: How far in advanced do we need to book our event?
A: C & C Productions recommends the sooner the better. There may be times when we can accommodate last minute bookings but our calendar can fill up fast. A year in advance is not unheard of for a wedding booking!
